I've just added a bit at the bottom in the Reasearch Names or Interests  part of my Profile. Would it make it more visible if we all did that?

Good work Gadget  ;D

I'm afraid I just believe that the more sites I deposit my surnames on, the more likely I am to get a contact that is fruitful and so far it has worked on more than one occasion from this website and others.

Hi,

I always go back and check interests table as I uncover more info.

As I am relatively new to researching, everytime I find a new name eg. in a side branch, I search that name for postings in the county they are from.

Example;   Leggett, Great Yarmouth , Norfolk

Great grandfather William Leggett (1842- ) had a sister who
married a Frederick Riches Delf, so search all Norfolk postings for the name Delf and Riches ( probably his Mothers maiden name)

You never know your luck ;D

After reading these posts i added a couple more surnames to my SIT list  and then  i did a 'search' for surnames. in the A--Z list. However, in the "O" section it tells me there were no "O" surnames listed -----Well i have 2 on my SIT list--Ostler & Oakley but they don't appear in the A--Z choice. It stated--No entries for 'O'  ??? Poli.

Funny that, O and N decided to take a sunday break ......

So I cracked the whip and told them to get busy  ;D
If I'd done nothing, they would have appeared for work at midnight :(

Should be OK now :)
