Have you got your surename interest on that board
« on: Saturday 05 July 08 00:26 BST (UK) »
Again tonight as i do on a regular bassis,i have been looking for surenames i want that are not there another 3 tonight Colquitt & colquett/ Hayes/ and three last week. The reason is i have lots of burials marriages, some christening mostly in the Liscard wirral area.I try to find anyone that might own these families. i don't think i will do it any more because i dont often find the name i am looking for.I try and help but if members don't put the interest on the board no one can contact them with any information. You could be missing out on finding new rellies. So come on put your interest on the board and help us to help you ;)

In case you can't find it, the link to the surname interests table is found at the bottom of every page.  Just click on "Your Surname Interests"

If you find a surname of interest you can click on the submitter's username which will take you to their profile from where you can send them a personal message.

Don't forget to submit the names in which you are interested.

I'd like to add my support to Celia's and behindthefrogs comments, its well worth adding your surnames to the Surname Interest table.

Just think of it as Genes Reunited without the annoying Hot (Stone cold) matches!!!!!! ;D ;D

Well, I've had mine there for a long time.  But so far, it's as useless as Lost Cousins to me.  Nothing - nil - zilch!   :'(  Good idea, but doesn't help us all.  I'd be interested to know how many Rootschatters have actually found rellies through the SIT.  Probably lots.

I've found a couple of rellies. :D

It is  two-way though.  As well as posting your surnames, you need to check occasionally to see if anyone has added surnames that you are interested in.

All mine are there too but  nothing so far. I've had more contacts via my website and informal methods  :(

I think it's the Joneses that are the main problem  :-\
