Hello Diggit,

You're not doing anything wrong. There are only seven surviving Anstice service records in WO 363, by the looks of it, unless there are any mis-sorts that aren't on line yet. There are none in WO 364 (Pensions).

Well I am glad I am not completely stupid! but sorry there is no record. What a pity, I know he was 'promoted on the field of battle' and there is a certificate signed by Winston Churchill - sadly not on my wall. I suppose it is unrealistic to expect everything to survive the years, I am amazed at the amount of stuff that has.
