STUARTS (Travelling family)

I am researching my Grandads family & need to find out whom my Grandads mother was as i cannot seem to trace my grandads birth certificate.
My Grandfathers name was Gordon John Stuart,
                                             B- 1922
                                             D- 06/03/1995
Gordon J Stuart married my nana Mary Ann Elizabeth Taylor on 23/12/1947 in the borough of Deptford SE8.
My grandfathers dads name on the marraige certificate is ,
William Arthur Stuart, (my G-Grandfather) who was already deaceased at the time of the wedding on 23/12/1947, but i do not know the date he died. The proffession of the father stated was a street trader.
The address on my grandads marraige cert is 49 Giffin street deptford se8, is where he was residing before he married.
Id appreciate any help i can get as i am now at a stand still & cannot research any further,

Are you sure his middle name was John? I ask because I found these,
