My grandmother Helen Fairlamb was born in this pub in 1882. Her mother was Isabella Cook. Never quite been able to work out the relationship with Isabella Newbold. Possible she was close to her mother as they were very close in age. Maybe the daughter was named for her?

According to the 1881 Census Isabella Newbond was the great aunt of Isabella Fairlamb. Isabella Newbond died 16th May 1883, and her will was proved at Durham by Isabella Fairlamb her great niece, sole executrix, personal estate £15.
