Hi Tony
I can't see an immediate match with our Clatworthys. We've got:-
Henry Clatworthy (abt 1811) and his son, James Clatworthy (abt 1847 in Liverpool) married to Jane Owens who was welsh.
James Clatworthy's children were Daniel, Grace and Henry (1871) Clatworthy.
Henry Clatworthy (abt 1871 in Liverpool) married Eliza Peach. I haven't traced Daniel or Grace's marriages yet.
On 1871 census, there is also a Harriet Clatworthy, I think she is Henry (1811)'s widow, born  in Crediton, Devon, with sons Samuel and George and daughter, also Harriet

I don't know who the first Henry's parents were, but that would be where the link might be.
Did you know that there is a village and a reservoir called Clatworthy. It is up on Exmoor. Regards Jill

It does seem that the origins are in the Devon and Somerset areas.
I haven't gone too deeply into this side of the family as there's no blood-line to follow. I saw your post and wondered if the connection was of any use to you. Looking at FamilySearch there seems an awful lot of Clatworthys in the Devon and Somerset area for you to get your teeth into! ;D ( I'll let my mother sort her own side out!!!)

My own areas are the Murphys in Widnes, The Kidds in Derbyshire, The Pithers in Berkshire, and The Davies's in Shropshire.

Wish you success in your search

Tony

FamilySearch - link below -

George Clatworthy christened Oct 1784 All Saints, Maidstone

Parents John Clatworthy and Mary

There's also a marriage for a John Clatworthy and Mary Boles in 1779 at All Saints, Maidstone.

Does that help?

Tony

Sightly late with my reply but only found Clatworthy yesterday!

I have Henrietta Collins married Shadrach Clatworthy  (Seaman)
in E. Stonehouse 1870.

She remarried in 1876 in Birkenhead to George Fazakerley, they then crossed the river to Liverpool.

Hope that helps - Johnnie
