Parents names is a bit exagerated unfortunately - it will only show their father's names ...

The details contained on a marriage certificate include:
Date and place of marriage.
Name, age and marital status of man and woman.
Occupation and usual address.
Name and occupation of each party's father.
Names of the witnesses.
Name of the person who solemnised the marriage.

Shame it won't show a birth place!

How can I find info on George and Anne's birth place, and father's details?

Well, it may not be easy ... 
(The 1851 census would have said, that's why I was so sorry they leaft too early!)

We can hope that their fathers and/or witnesses had exotic names, that their christenings are on the IGI ...

As you can tell, I'm only new to this.  I will apply for a copy in a few days, and post the details when it arrives  Do they email or post the certificates?
