carnarvonshire and anglesey infirmary 1861
« on: Tuesday 24 June 08 07:47 BST (UK) »
Trying to find out any more information about my great-great grandfather Job Halliwell.
He is listed in the 1861 wales census as being an inmate.  (recorded as Job Holliwell)
There is a death recorded in 1861 Jul-Aug-Sep Qtr for Job Hallawell in Bangor so it is possible that he died in there.
It would be nice to see how long he was in there and why?
Also, I can find no record of a marriage so if his wife was listed then that would be great!

Not having much luck with any online resources.

Thanks

All the records for the C and A Hospital are at the Gwynedd Archives in Caernarfon.

I found the info here:
www.institutions.org.uk/hospitals/wales/CAE/caernarfon_anglesey_general_hospital

You could email the archive office at:
archifau.caernarfon@gwynedd.gov.uk

Unfortunately they could not help me as their records don't cover 1861.
Not sure of next step.
