1891 Lookup Please - OSBORN
« on: Sunday 22 June 08 09:16 BST (UK) »
hi im looking for Annie Roe who married Abel Osborn. she was born in Eaton Bray in 1864 but i have no idea where he came from.
they married in Eaton Bray on 27/10/1884 so if anyone can find them in 1891 that would be really useful please.
also looking for John her brother who married Emma Meakins again in Eaton Bray 1888. as there are lots of Emma Meakins in the area to confirm which one she was.
thank you

well ive looked down the road from Robert and his family in 1881. there are several more Roes and ive found his mum with his brother. ive checked it out on IGI and shes definitely his mum.
however the other Roe family is a Joseph, and this is where Albert came from, and his dad is a Samuel cant go back any further with that one.
ive taken Roberts parentage back 2 more generations and cant link them with a Samuel. maybe it goes back further and Albert then is a cousin not a brother to Robert. or it may just be a coincidence and they are just neighbours. who can tell.

Is this thinking out loud or a request, as I can't make head nor tail of it. Who's Robert? Is he a Roe or an Osborn? And where does he fit in  as he's not been mentioned before? And Samuel defeats me totally

Robert is Annie and Johns dad and his mum was Mary who was living with his brother down the road in 1881. looked into it further and his dad had died by then. found out who his dads dad was too. got the whole of the 2 previous generations families.
but with Annie and her husband Abel Osborn was another Roe, Albert, who was a lodger. normally youd think as he had the same surname hed be a relative of some sort. but his dad was Joseph & in 1881 hes living with him down the road. ive gone back to Joseph's dad who was Samuel but i cant find the link to our Roe's
thats what i meant when i said i cant find any Samuels in our lot.
sorry i guess i did kinda ramble on in the last posting.

does that make more sense.
youd have thought that 2 families who are frineds both having Roe as asurname that theyd be related in some way wouldt you.,
