Hi All from Australia,

Need assist with Stratford Canning Doherty son of William and Julia Doherty born abt 1858, Brighton.  His death certificate states his father was a Reverend.

Madeline Julia Hanllain do., dau, 3 mo, b. do.
+ 4 servants

In 1871 Stratford is a scholar at Cambridge House, Hove, Sussex

All I had on the family was a census for Stratford in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Im curious as to where did you come across the manuscript on Stratford.

By the way... Stratford married my Great Aunt Mary Louisa Hayes, 1884. Bega,NSW. Some time after his second child was born he shot through to Victoria and remarried.    Unable to settle down.
His first child was named Lionel Wyndham Pearson Doherty.. after his brother.
