Hi Maureen
I haven't got a lot on this side. Rumour was that there was a gipsy connection but I haven't found it. Eliza Ann Tarlton Waters was my husband's grandmother born in 1872 at 3 Algar Rd Bethnal Green, mother Susan Ann SAYER, father George Frederick WATERS, occ stoker. Peter's Dad knew very little about his mother's side of the family. He said that Eliza Ann had a sister Polly, but I guess that could have been Ann or Hannah, and another sister, name unknown who married a WOODHALL. It didn't give me a lot to go on. I've left this branch of his family to last as it was a lot easier to trace the COLMER line than it was WATERS or NEWTON. I've come to a halt on the COLMER side around the 1650's so its time for a change of direction! If you have any snippets of info I'd be grateful as it would inspire me to restart my researches into this branch.
Thanks
Fay

Hi ,
Just to let you know that George Fulkes 60 you you found on the 1891 census was employed in the Lords. I have his work record, from 1866 he was Assistant Accountant from 1879-1890 & Accountant from 1890-1902. He retired on 31 December.  He was  my Great great Grandfather Charles Fulkes brother.
The Maria Fulkes you mentioned ? I wonder if it is Charles & George Fulkes younger sister as in 1851 she was living in paddington with her Mother Maria both School mistresse's Maria died 1853 after that i do not know what happened to Maria. I do have the Fulkes tree back to 1042. if anyone needs any info or help I will willingly share what I have
Hope this helps

Hi Maria

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

I hope this is a nice surprise for Kieran.

Gunner, who started this old topic, hasn't been online here for years. If the email address on the system is out of date, he won't receive notifications that we have posted.

Fingers crossed.
