:) Photo of headstone Annie and John Maguire taken today. Stone itself is intact and readable condition though the concrete plot is in a sorry state.

Nice patch of sunshine between the showers to coincide with the visit too  :)
Waikaraka Cemetery is on flat land and the excessive rain we've had has made everywhere wet underfoot so went prepared.

I could possibly post pic  :-\  unsure if there is an issue there, it is nearly 100yrs since burial... Mk 2 you might have an answer for me there please  :)

Otherwise Tony, if you PM me your email address I will forward it (them) to you that way..

 :) mare

On the Cemetery Records there were 11 recorded Maguire details

There were three more in the same location as Annie and John with no inscription..

Margaret died 22.5.1948 aged 75
Annie died 16.10.1951 aged 85
Emma Jane died 20.3.1958 aged 84

I wouldn't think there is any issue with a grave stone.   :)

Perhaps I should put up the inscription on the stone :

In Loving Memory of
Annie
beloved wife of
John Maguire
Who Departed This Life
30th September 1908
Aged 70 years
RIP
ALSO
For The Repose of the Soul of
John Maguire
Who Died April 26th 1912
Aged 80 years
May Their Souls Rest In Peace
Mc nab & Mason

and hopefully no objection, the long shot pic...
