the banbridge bit is putting me off though.
Banbridge in the birth for Hugh McGuire is the registration district (the birth certificate will give the name of the actual townland)
Banbridge is only a few miles from County Armagh border. It's possible that the family came from somewhere in County Armagh not far from Banbridge.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I am currently researching my great grandmother and great grandfathers ancestory thus how i came across your posting.  I am Irish and my great grandmother is Mary Maguire from Gilford, Co Down.  Her siblings were Annie, Margaret, Emma, John, Joseph, James and Hugh.  Hugh emigrated to New Zealand.  Hughs sister Mary married my great grandfather William Boyle in 1884 in Gilford.  My great grandfather died in 1932 in Gilford and Mary died in 1934(circa).  Mary was the Head Mistress of a school in Gilford.  There is a memorial to both of them in Gilford erected by the school that they both worked in.   They went on to have 12 children one of whom was my grandfather - Gerard.  On another note my aunt previously advised me that there was a Fox connection somewhere in the family.

I hope this information may be of help to you and please feel free to contact me.  I will try to get further information for you on the other siblings.
