Various Whakapapa or Maori genealogy recorded by Jack Steedman and written in his two books that i have. Are you searching your whanau or family history. I can do a search for similar names or family names. Contains info on seven canoes, there landfalls and there whakapapa :) ;D ;D

Would be interested in any material on WHAKAAWA, PEPENE or NGAPOTU family names, some are from Te Aroha, some are from Matakana.

Judith William Grey Nicholls married Harete Te Whakaawa of Matakana Island. Born 6 December 1818, died 13 December 1900 and is buried in the Te Aroha Cemetery. They had six children, the eldest being my g/grandmother Hariata Harriet Nicholls
