Post another message on here, Kate, and then I think you should see a little scroll under BGB's username. If you click on that you will get a window for a PM or personal message open, and you can send your email direct to BGG.

You should also have a personal message link of your own in the top right hand corner of your screen. It should say Welcome scarlettcat.
You have O messages or something like that.

HI Kate

I am researching Driver and mine was a convict from Norfolk. I have a John Driver in my line  but much earlier and because they all named their children after each other I am wondering if we are looking at the same family. Please let me know and i help you with what I can here. All my Drivers were from Melbourne.

I don't know how long ago the original message was posted but came across it just now.
Nicholas was born in Nottingham and has an older brother in the UK who is still alive.
Cofidentiality prevents me from giving that person's details of course.
I am related to them both as second cousins through my grandfather's line. My grandfather's family name is Keywood.

Nicholas was an old RAF friend. He died in Australia a number of years ago. Through RootsChat his son and daughter made contact with me. Their father sadly had died when they were very young and I was able to tell them what a fine fellow he had been. They never mentioned Nicholas's  elder brother so I wonder if they knew of him. I will endeavour to contact them to find out.

Thank you for that.
I'm pretty sure that, since it's so unusual a name, it must be the same person. Although deceased he was technically a cousin. I only made contact with his brother a couple of years ago. As a result of rather strange family circumstances surrounding my deceased mother's parentage they didn't know anything about us.
My grandfather was his uncle Charles. Nicholas would have been unaware of my mother's existence.
