Nicholas Frederick Stapleton DRIVER
« on: Sunday 15 June 08 18:40 BST (UK) »
NicK Driver born England 1934 died in Melbourne, Victoria 20 June 1980 aged 46 - a young age. He was married with two children. He was a former Royal Air Force friend of mine and I should very much like to know the reason for his death at so young an age. Can anyone help?

Hi BDB - welcome to rootschat.

You can purchase for $17.50 and immediately download an image of the  death certificate of Nicholas DRIVER from
http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/index-search?action=getHistIdxSearchCriteria
after first obtaining the registration number - cost .99 cents.

I searched just using Nicholas DRIVER, death and 1980 and it brings up 1 result on 1 page.

iMany forum members have the bdm disk that covers deaths   in Victoria 1920 to 1985 and can give you the registration number.

Cheers
cando

Hi BGB

As you have noticed - Dee is the doting grandmother - lots of Babe pictures  ;D

Do hope you return if you have other queries on Australian family research.

Trish

I'm brand new to this forum and desperate to get in touch with BGB.

Nick Driver was my father and as much as he'd like to know about how he died and his life in Melbourne, I'd dearly love to know what Dad was like - he died when I was 7.

So...how can I get in touch? Is there a way of sending him a message through this forum?

I've been trying to track down my cousins and my British clan through Google with no luck. This is the first 'lead' I've had and I'm hoping I won't have to just cross my fingers that BGB checks this thread!

Any help would be appreciated,

Kate (nee) Driver

Kate, if you reply to messages on this thread a couple of times, you will then be able to send what is called a Personal message to BGB.

In the meantime, it would be best if you modify your first post by clicking on the Modify button and remove your email address. Otherwise a moderator will do so.

Welcome to Rootschat. There are lots of people here who will try to help you.
