Found an entry in the 1851 census at 93 Main St, Rutherglen

Thomas Simpson 61 b 1790 Glasgow,  Burgh Offce Keeper Town Binlop?
Christina Rankin 56 b 1795 b Glasgow - Wife
Thomas Simpson Jr 17 b 1834 Rutherglen, Scholar

Maybe got the wrong date - 1844

I guess it could be that the stone was first erected on the death of a child, and the other names added later? Unfortunately of course the original stone doesn't exist any more, so no way of checking.

Hi,

Could be correct there, I found them on the 1841 census, and they had a large family.

I'm afraid not; these stones would have been buried under the present church building when it was erected in 1902.

1844 could have been when the lair was purchased and the stone erected to ensure nobody else was buried there
