« on: Saturday 14 June 08 14:23 BST (UK) »
Looking for info on family o  grandfather's older brother - John Law Spiers  - born 1869  (policeman in Glasgow,Scotland) and his wife Mary Weldon (probably born Ireland).   I have list of names of his family (see below) but can't trace most marriages, descendents or any emigration info for:

Elizabeth Spiers born 1896
Robert Spiers born 1897
Catherine Spiers born 1898 married John McMillan
John Weldon Spiers born 1902 married Agnes McPhee
William Law Spiers born 1903
Mary Anne Spiers born 1905

Can anyone help with more info?

John Spiers in 1901 census living Shettleston, Glasgow is a retired gold mines manager. Other names and dates in household don't seem to fit either.

Were the family actually living in Scotland in 1901 and what other sources have already been looked at?

Birth certificate should list date and place of parents' marriage.
