Hello
May I ask for a death or MI for George Penman somewhere between 1845 and 1851.The family were living at Wellwood Colliery,Dunfermline. George was born about 1791.His wife was Jean or Jane Izett.
Thankyou :)
Barbara

Barbara, there are only 2 george penmans on CD listed death after 1845 in Wellwood Colliery/ dunfermine don't match with your ages:

George penman d.6/10/1849 age 39  cholera  OPR 424-18

George penman  d.17/10/1849  age 8  Cholera  (think son of above)

Thankyou Diddy,that was quick.
I'm sure they will fit in somewhere.I am guessing that this George died after 1845 because there is a 2 year old son living with his widow on the 1851 Census.I got his age from the 1841,so it could be wrong.
Thanks again :)

May I please ask for a lookup for the death of Isabel (Isabella) Black nee Lowson (Lawson) born 15/04/1784 Torryburn, baptised 18/04/1784. She married John Black in Torryburn 30/06/1810.

Thanks for any help you can give.

hi, nothing in Torryburn but found these in kirkcaldy:

Isabella Black  d. 25/3/1814   wife of John Black, sailor

Isabella Black   d.9/9/1853  eldest dau. of john Black (builder,  decd)

first one possible, no age given - would only be 4 years after marriage.

Thaks for your help. Don't think either of these is the one as John Black was definitely a weaver.  Am having real problems with this lady. Think she may have sometimes used the name Crawford and not Lowson. Would it be possible to look under that surname for me too please? Sometimes spelt Crauford or Crawfurd. Thanks.

found one isabella Crawford:

isabella Crawford (Henderson)  d.9/1/1838  wife of John Crawford, bookseller.

Prob not yours because of bookseller. not very close to weaver!!

why the problems with her name, did she marry more than once?
