Diddy
You have already looked up Margaret Izatt for me earlier in this post and found what could be her buried under her maiden name of Adamson ;D
Could I ask you to see if there is a child,Alexander Izatt, who may have died between 1841 and 1851,who may possibly have been her son.He is on the 1841 census with her husband James and his second wife Agnes (& of course I can't see the relationship because it is 1841 :() but as far as I know,James and Agnes didn't have a son Alexander.I'm clutching at straws here,I know ??? He was in New Monkland,Lanark in 1841,but may have been born in Dunfermline. (I can't find him on the IGI either)age 3 in 1841.
The other thing I would be interested to know is does it do a soundex search when you look for Iz*tt and pick up other mis spellings? It's just that this name is rarely spelled correctly on the census and I wondered if is was the same on MI's though I guess they would have made sure of the spelling on something as important as that.
Thankyou
Barbara

Thanks Jacci
168 - my goodness ??? ??? Well that might come in handy later on.
Thanks for looking for Alexander. I have a suspicion he may have been a nephew, the way these Scots all name their first sons after Grandpa & then swap them around and change their ages for every census to confuse later generations ;)
Much appreciated
Barbara

Hi Jac2,

Would it be possible for you to check for Trail's in Scoonie. I'm trying to find info on James Trail born c.1770 and his wife Elizabeth Dowie and any offspring.

Any help much appreciated.

Bones ;)

I realise this may be in records later than the ones you have access to ... but would you be able to find anything on a James Mitchell, lost at sea?  The birth date I have for him is 17/9/1835, and his parents were James Mitchell and Ann Dewar.

Many thanks in advance
