Diddy
You have already looked up Margaret Izatt for me earlier in this post and found what could be her buried under her maiden name of Adamson

Could I ask you to see if there is a child,Alexander Izatt, who may have died between 1841 and 1851,who may possibly have been her son.He is on the 1841 census with her husband James and his second wife Agnes (& of course I can't see the relationship because it is 1841

) but as far as I know,James and Agnes didn't have a son Alexander.I'm clutching at straws here,I know

He was in New Monkland,Lanark in 1841,but may have been born in Dunfermline. (I can't find him on the IGI either)age 3 in 1841.
The other thing I would be interested to know is does it do a soundex search when you look for Iz*tt and pick up other mis spellings? It's just that this name is rarely spelled correctly on the census and I wondered if is was the same on MI's though I guess they would have made sure of the spelling on something as important as that.
Thankyou
Barbara
