I have just discovered one of my ancestors served in the British Army in India and the Boer War circa 1885-1900.

What do you know so far?
Do you have a regiment? A rank? etc etc

The more you tell us, the better the advice that can be given.
Name interests: Boulton, Murrell, Lock, Croxton, Skinner, Blewett, Tonkin, Trathen.

Neil

I don't know too much other than he arrived in Australia in the early 1900's. He was either an Afghan or Indian. My father tells me he was a camel driver in the Boer war. He was a bankrupt in Australia in 1904 and on the transcrpts he said he was in the british army prior to coming to Australia.

Thats basically all i know mate.

Thanks
