Langham parish records, John ALDERTON c23March 1783
« on: Thursday 12 June 08 11:53 BST (UK) »
JOHN ALDERTON c23March 1783 Langham Essex I NEED TO KNOW WHO HE MARRIED MAIDEN NAME PLEASE.  He also had 2 sisters that I know about if this helps Hannah c25 Feb 1787 and Sarah c25 April 1790. If anyone finds this information could you collect the date and place as well. John's parents are listed as John and Sarah would it be possible to find out where they were born, married and maiden name of Sarah as well. I am in Australia and we have had 2 geneolgical searches performed and both have come up with 2 different John Aldertons with 2 different sets of parents. Once found I would be willing to pay for documentary evidence that will provide proof to both families who have the conflicting information. Further information that may be required for a search is that John Alderton c1783 had a son John Alderton b1805/1806? Langham Essex who was in the 83rd Regiment in the British Army between 1835 and 1837 he was court marshalled for deserton and transported to Australia in 1837 and married Mary Coffee in 1840 and died in 1893 at Lower Portland Windsor NSW Australia.

Thanks Malcome, I know it is a lot to ask but we have a bit of a family argument and I want to clear it up, if I can at least start on the right track and trace down our ancestors. Both families claim they had professional geneologists do the searches but came up with 2 different sets of parents.
Sue
