Pothicary/Pothecary (1901 census)
« on: Saturday 07 June 08 20:42 BST (UK) »
Hi I am trying to find my great great uncle Richard Pothicary/Pothecary on the 1901 uk census.  He was born in Mountain Ash in 1891.  Would be grateful for any help in finding him.

did he have a middle name?

there is this birth
Richard John Pothecary
Jun qtr 1891
Pontypridd

then there is on 1901 census  transcribed as "Richard C Petchecary"

image reads (to me) as Richard C (or poss J) Potchecary

Thanks for reply, I believe Richard had an uncle called Charles, perhaps the 'C' stands for Charles as well.
