Dear Tige, I am a researcher based at the State Library of NSW in Sydney and was very interested to see that you are a son of Halyn Lucas, daughter of the cartoonist Hal Eyre.

The Library holds a large collection of World War 1 cartoon by Eyre and we are keen to ahve these digitised prior to the approaching centenary celebrations but have been unable to locate the copyright holder in these works.

So I was delighted to find the previous rootschat which seemed to definitively confirm the martial staus and death dates of Hal & Beatrice Lucas with the added bonus of your post that the tailend.

Also found a book of poetry that has a foreward dedicated to Llywelyn Lucas (Hal Eyres 2nd wife) with some references to him.
