Do You have the Newton Green Burial Ground Book Because There is a MI Erected by James Hendrie For his Parents John Hendrie & Jane Dickie and some other family deaths.

There are several Margaret Hendries and several Hugh Hendries but none together.

Correction to that - there is one set (Hendry) but they appear to be brother and sister living in Dalry with other siblings.

Hi Falkryn,
I have a family that lived in Dalry. Its a Charles Hendrie(hendry) and Catherine Colquhoun, M,1858. they had these Children: Mary 1858/ John 1861/ Peter 1862/ Charle 1865/ James 1868/ Joseph 1871/ Jane 1874. Is it any of them.I have them in the 1861/1871/ 1881 Census in Dalry.

and Hugh age 55 a Pit labourer all living together at 47 Courthill Street Dalry.

There are at least 3 Hendrie gravestones at Newton Green (one of which I am interested in Isabella McCreath Hall Hendrie)  I visited the graveyard and tried to download the photos I took but had to abandon as you nearly got the whole camera most of which were nothing to do with inscriptions, will try and
retype when I have more time on my hands.
