The only Thomas Barsley's buried in all parishes in county  1813-1900 - one in Boston aged 4 mth, and one in Grimsby age 8 mth.
Don't think these are yours!!

Lincolnshire Archives have downloadable Indexes 1701-1800
and sell a disc which indexes LCC Wills 1801 to 1858 and Stow Wills 1700-1834 and LCC Will 1858-1910 as I have all of these.

Happy to check out the odd few

Jacky

Thanks for the info about the downloadable index on Lincolnshire Archives, Jacky. I'll have a go at that tomorrow - there's quite a few separate items and it took me a while to find, but I got there in the end!

Beady and Boosh thanks for the look ups - a plethora of possible Blackburns!  ;D  I suppose the only way to find out if they're mine is to order them and see!

From his age, I'm pretty sure that the Richard Blackburn will of 1818 could be one of my William's sons - so might mention his brother Thomas, my ancestor. Infact, all the Blackburns you've given me could be mine!

I'll probably request Lincs Archives to copy them all for me - and hang the expense!

Thanks all,
Jill

Sorry to jump in on your post Jill.

Can one who has the indexes tell me if there are any Gash's & Petch's listed?  I've been thinking about buying them from LFHS & if I know my names are there i'll get them.

Cheers

Jay

Is there anything for two of my rather uncommon Lincs surnames:

Thickpenny
Ossingbrook (Ossenbrook or even Ozinbrook!)
