Marriage/John Bone, Marion Moffat/Abt. 1824

John Bone was the son of William Bone and Marrion Sandilands.  He was born abt. 1800 so guess marriage might be about 1825 to Marion Moffat.  Could be in Sandquahar or Kirkpatrick Juxta. I know they had a son James in 1825.  Would appreciate info on the marriage, but also on the family of this couple.

Not seeing an entry for the marriage on the OPRs unfortunately.

Just a couple of other things, which I am not sure if you have, so thought I'd post just in case.

John's parents' marriage/banns entries: 14 JUN 1776 Crawfordjohn, Lanark and 26 MAY 1776 Sanquhar, Dumfries. The banns would normally be read at the parishes that the bride and groom came from.

Whilst not seeing John's birth entry, there are entries showing for two daughters on IGI:

1. JANET BONE Christening on 23 MAY 1779 at Crawfordjohn, Lanark
2. MARRION BONE  Christening on 13 APR 1781 at Crawfordjohn, Lanark

In respect of John Bone and Marion Moffat, there is one son showing for them on IGI, again a Lanark connection:

JOHN BONE  Birth on 15 OCT 1831/ Christening: 26 OCT 1831 at Crawford, Lanark

My family were the Moffats William Moffat definitely married Margaret Bone, born 1835  they had John, Peter, Margaret, Mary (Marion)
