I found Edward through a roundabout route!
I have a John Pink in my tree born 1801 at Odiham married to a Martha Hall and I have plenty of info on them except John's parents, who I could not find. So, I started looking at other Pinks in the Odiham area to see if I could find any connections.
Trawling through the 1871 census I found James Pink born c1811 at Odiham married to an Emily
unknown. The census transcription shows their grandson, Charles Ann Pink born c1860 living with them. I was curious to know which of James & Emily's children he belonged to and suspected that it was either their son Thomas born c1840 or another son that I don't yet know about. I also expected to find him listed as a Pink in future census returns.
Anyway, what I really want to do is establish whether or not there is a connection between John born 1801 and James born 1811. Presumably they must have been brothers or cousins etc.
Bit of a long shot really but perhaps someone will know the answer.
