Hi, Can anyone help me, I am tearing my hair out. I am doing a newsletter in Word and i can insert a picture ok but if i scroll it disappears. I tried what they suggest and checked it was un ticked the picture placeholders in view on the Options of the Tools menu whichnit was. Anyone got any other suggestions. i have XP and Word 2002. I have the same problem Evelina.

I usually insert a Text Box first then insert the pic inside that, then key Conlrol+S to save the work so far.
It's cumbersome but it's the only way I know.
I do four Newsletters per year as a volunteer, and I'm not about to get Publisher for the job, so I keep on with Word.
Hope someone comes up with an answer.

It doesn't solve the problem but have a look at

Isn't this something to do with the View?

Down at the bottom left hand corner there are some small squares and you need to have Outline view selected?

I expect you can change the view by clicking on the View item on the toolbar menu as well.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Now I had tried turning WORD on and on again but no luck, so in frustration I shut down the computer and a few hours later decided to have another look. Sod's law, now the pictures do not disappear. Gremlims or what!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again, computers don't you just love them.

We also had this problem. The solution was to download a new graphics driver.

if you import a picture from a picture folder it will display as long as the picture folder is open in few cases try to copy the picture on to your word sheet bu having the folder and the word sheet open on the screen side by side if you can drag and drop all well and good if not try right click copy picture then left and right click on your word sheet and paste.
