Parish Registers for John Thomas & Mary
« on: Sunday 01 June 08 11:54 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
I am trying to find the marriage of John Thomas to Mary. John was born circa 1805 and Mary circa 1811.
They were born in St John the Evangelist Brecon according to the census returns and lived most of their lives in Mill Street. Brecon
Would the baptism registers give Mary's maiden name? as they had several children, Mary, John, William, James, Margaret, Evan, Elizabeth and Henry.
Are there any links to a map of the district round about that time?
Any help and advice greatly appreciated.
I LOVE THIS SITE  ;D

I've now established that Mary's maiden name was also Thomas, so the marriage I'm looking for is John Thomas to Mary Thomas circa 1827 Thanjs  :)

there's a marriage of John Thomas to Mary Thomas, Brecon St John 21/12/1830, groom a labourer. Do these details tie in with what you know?

You can get a copy of the parish entry for the marriage from the Records Office on this link
