Barbara, By "the canal "do you mean where that circular sort of canal used to be and a little boat went around it?  It had bridge over it I think also...

Didn't know the canal had gone even so maybe I need a comapss bearing!

Yes Charlotte, that's the place.   Canal went a couple of years ago, but the cafes are still there. 

Just head for where all the laughter is coming from...........that's us

It is with regret  I have to pull out of this meet.
Daughter has handed me a note that the school band is playing in competition that day. 

They dont have many flute players so I think she better go.
