No Matthew and Mary Wilson in St Andrews churchyard at Thursby, Sorry. But there are the following gravestones for Wilsons at that time which may be related?
"In Memory of John Wilson of Eveninghill who died July the 6th 1781 aged 78 years. Also Tamer his wife who died Sptr. 30th 1785 aged 75 years."
Evening Hill is in Thursby.

Robert and Jane Wilson may well have been in Thursby in 1806 when your James was born?
I don't know where Swarthwaite is, but that part of the stone is badly worn so it might say Curthwaite which is the next village south of Thursby (or any other -thwaite, of which there are many in Cumbria!)
I see from your James Wilson's census of 1861 in Cardew that his daughters were both born in Curthwaite. In his 1851 census he is in Woodside, Westward parish. Because of the distance to Westward Church, many residents of Curthwaite and Woodside were christened, married and buried in Thursby church before a new parish of Rosley was created with its own church in the 19th century. Woodside and Westward are very rural agricultural areas without a particular centre of population.
Cardew, where James lived in 1861, is the area just on the East side of Thursby parish on the way to Dalston.
Don't know if any of that helps?
