I have him in both the 1861 and 1871 census returns, the info given on them is James Harvey born abt 1826 Fishmonger and the two addresses, respectively.
It was just a suggestion by a local studies group that if I could somehow get information regarding the rate payer for his address, (the site would have been a shop with a dwelling above) I might be able to find out if he had a fishmongers shop or not and also that the rate payers book would contain more information regarding the property itself and possibly about my gx4 grandfather.

Just saw your other post, thank you for looking, really any help is brilliant, I was just trying to clear up as to whether he had a shop or not and maybe what it might have been called etc. I am looking down this route as tracing him backwards at the moment is proving very difficult, so am trying to find any clues that might help in facilitating further research of the family.
