Hello i like diblet do a lot of essex research i am not far from the records office and do occasionally pop in there to do some look ups for myself
I shall be popping there at some point in the kids 6 weeks holidays so if there is anything i can look up for you let me know.
i wont have time to do broad searches so if you can narrow things down a bit by then or know exactly what you want me to look for and where and when then i should be able to help
if you have never been to a records office then you wont realise that you tend to get totally absorbed and the time goes so quickly
I went to look at some poor relief records and it took me nearly 4 hours just to look at 3 years worth and i knew exactly what i was looking for haha.
or another suggestion is if you are willing to buy the fiche from the records office for the years and parish you want you can always send them onto me as i do have a fiche reader and i will read and copy up into note form for you and send it all back to you ( all for free of course)
or as you have only been looking for a month, and by the way you have done a great job so far from what i can see, you could buy a fiche reader for at home, i bought an old one on Ebay cost me £50 inc postage and it's the best £50 i have ever spent!!! you don't need a fancy posh one mine is an old one from the 70's but it does the job
anyway let me know mate
Good luck and as Diblet say's you will become totally obsessed and addicted! it will become more than just a passtime or hobby
