There are some names here that look like possibles for my lot, but I don't have any info as yet to tie them in.

I have a Helen Burnside born about 1816 in Stenton Haddington, m Alexander Litster 24 May 1840 at Noth berwick & died sometime before 1898.

I have loads of rellies to this lot in the Haddington, Cranston, Garvald area, and the names George, Elizabeth, margaret, Andrew & Isabella crop up down the generations.

It could just be coincidence, but worth asking.  The surnames that crop up via marriage ( Helen had 3 daughters, Margaret, Isabella & Ann) are Bridges, Thomson & Adams.

There is certainly plenty there to check out & a lot of new children to track down.

Shame there's no cross over, but i guess the names were popular with a lot of families around that time.

I will pick these up probably next time I'm at the Records Office in Edinburgh and look for all the death & marriage certs first.
