Thomas TRICKER - COMPLETED THANK YOU
« on: Thursday 22 May 08 11:37 BST (UK) »
Good morning - can anyone help me please find details of Thomas Tricker - the Tricker family came from Suffolk (Woodbridge/Culpho/Grundisburgh) - there is Trickers Mill in Woodbridge as well.

The information I have is that a Thomas Tricker married Adamina Maria Garnham b 1803 - no date of marriage.  We have her parentage, i.e. Robert Dobson Garnham b c 1766 father and Elizabeth Mason mother.  But no information for Thomas Tricker.

We know that Thomas Tricker and Adamina Maria had 7 children.

If anyone can help with Thomas parents, his dob etc it would be most appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Thank you Suffolk Sue - so, he was married before he married Adamina Garnham - still no dob though is there?  I wonder who he was previously married to?

Have you got them in any of the census. Also what were their childrens names. I will see if I can figure which could be his first marriage as there are a few Thomas Tricker marriages.

Post as much info as you have on this family.

Are these your Trickers in 1841

HO107/1020/8/8/10-Grundisburgh

All b in County

Maria 37
Emmanuel 17    Brick Maker
James 12
Elizabeth 18
Louisa 8
William 5
Amala 2
Deborah 11m

Next door is a John Garnham 20

If these are yours then in 1851 the 2 youngest are with a Thomas Tricker 64 who says he is married and they are in the workhouse.

James and William are with their married sister Maria.

If you need cencus details I will post them.

That's the ones!  Wheeey hey!   ;D  We had all the children apart from Emmanuel and that name has never cropped up before on any of our other research.  Is he a definite son on the census?

Still no further info on Thomas though is there?  He is the one we would like to go back on and research.

The Garnham family is also part of our family tree and I am also researching them as well!   What a busy life - I spend more time doing this than housework!

I wonder if Adamina and Maria are two different people then in that case, one being his first wife and the other his second? Or whether Adamina dropped the Adamina bit and just used Maria!  What a confusing family?

Many thanks for your help though.   Have a good weekend.  I am off - to Suffolk retracing steps!!

I think Adamina Maria is her full name as her daughter Maria is Maria Adamina on the marriage entry

Have a nice weekend..

In 1861 William is living with Emmanuel and his wife Maryann and he is recorded as brother
