Three Rabbits Pub

My grandfather died in the Blitz from drowing when a sewer or mains was bombed he was sheltering in a pub
  I have heard it was the Three Rabbits Pub in the Romford rd Manor Park  the pub no longer in use and although I have written to Librarys etc no replys      has anyone heard  about this ???

I dont know about the bombing but i lived in Romford Road Manor Park from 1950 to 1955 and remember the Three Rabbits Pub when i  went to london earlier this year i noticed the pub is now a Chemist have you tried this web site www.manorparkmemories.niceboard.net

Hi Rita I'll try that Have got some information from CWGC casualty details and although the age is wrong he was about 10 years older the address is about right and it says he died at 742 Romford Rd  so need to find out number of pub  will try website thankyou

Hi Rita tryed that number and they said they were not hairdressers and not in Romford rd  so had to leave it
