Robert Claypole (d abt 1658) ?Northborough

I am trying to prove or disprove a missing link in our Claypole/Clepole family line.

I would like to find any further information about a Robert Claypole who died about 1658. He is said to have been one of the sons of John Claypole and Mary Angell of Northborough, Northampton (and therefore a brother of Sir John Claypole who married Elizabeth, daughter of Oliver Cromwell)

I have been unable to find a date of birth for this Robert - or discover whether he married or had children of his own. Is there any evidence that he may have moved across the border to one of the settlements in Leicestershire?

Robert Cleypoole/Claypoole is said to have been born in 1627 (Graff, 1893) and to have died in 1658. I have a copy of his PCC will dated July 1658. On 22 March 1707 (Gregorian calendar), his younger brother Benjamin wrote that "...Robert was a linnen draper but died a batchelor..."

I think my query is a totally different line. This Robert certainly had at least 10 children in the Medbourne area of Leicestershire. The family can then be traced to the Great Easton and Cottringham areas in the Welland Valley. If there is a link to the Northborough / Cambridgeshire Claypoles it must have occurred well before 1600.
