Hi again,

I sent you a message and now it appears that I should have sent the request here.  I found the list of monumental inscriptions on a google search but did not know how to send a request and so when I saw your name under durham I sent the request.

Can I have the Johnson/Jackson inscriptions for Wolsingham or are there too many??  I must have a link in somewhere as they are in the area for a good few years!  Sorry to duplicate the message but I am just now getting the hang of this!

Hello Emma. There are 5 inscriptions for Jackson. I will sort them out and post the ones that are before the cut off date of 1950.
In the meantime I can tell you that I have posted inscriptions for Jackson's on the following threads:-

I really appreciate that, you must get this all the time.  I will look through and I have looked through some already.

Any Jacksons would be great

Hello Emma. Here are the Jackson inscriptions:-

Sacred to the memory of George Jackson of Wolsingham, who died April/22/1866 aged 77 years
Also Jane Jackson, wife of the above George Jackson, who died September/14/1858 aged 72 years.
Also Elizabeth Goodburn, daughter of the above, who died September/20/1900 aged 78 years.

This next one is badly affected by lichen making it very difficult to read, so a ? means a little caution with the dates.

In loving memory of Jane Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Jackson, who died April/7/1880?(could be 1889) aged 79 years.
Also of the above Joseph Jackson, who died April/20/1896? aged 89 ? years
Also John Jackson, son of the above Elizabeth and Joseph Jackson, who died 1904 aged 57 years.
Elizabeth Jackson, the widow of the above, who died 1913  age ??

106605 private J.H.Jackson, Royal Army Medical Corps, 13/September/1920 aged 43 years.

There are two more Jackson gravestones but they are 1961 and 1965. No ages given. (Catholic)

I am quite new to this, but have read through all previous postings so as to not ask you to repeat a task, I hope. Could you post the inscriptions for Dent and Kitchener please?

Hello Bron. Here is the only gravestone inscription for Kitchener :-

In memory of Dorothy, wife of the Rev J Kitchener, Baptist minister, who died at Mirfield,Yorks, March/17/1909
Also the Rev J Kitchener, who died at Yiewslex 31/August/1924, interred at Hillingdon, Middlesex.
Also the ashes of Edith May Kitchener, daughter in law of the above, died March/6/1955
(One of the few gravestones without any ages given)

There is one gravestone for Dent but it is from the 1970's
 onward.
I think that may be to late for you?

Thank you Adam,
All a bit late for me. I'm trying to find a connection between the two families prior to 1800. However your posting has led me to Durham as both families seem to be in this County.

Hello Ed

I see that you are trying to find a connection with the Wraith family in Crook County Durham.  I notice that someone has given you details on Stephen Spark Wraith which is My Grandfathers Uncle.

Do you still require information on the Wraith family?
