This first one is unusual because it does not mention relationships.

John James Newton, died August/6?/1864 aged 4 years.
William Newton, died January/24/1894 aged 46? years.
Joseph Newton, died April/28/1912 aged 66 years.

Sacred to the memory of Mary Ann? Newton of Lumley, who died March/18/1845 aged 46? or 16?
The rest of the stone is unreadable.

In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Newton of Cove House, who died July/5/1876 aged 75 years.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.  I think the Newtons may help me push back the boundaries.

Hello Maureen. Here are the inscriptions:-

In memory of Thomas, son of John and Elizabeth Burnup, who died 24 of May 1792 aged 38 years.
Also John Burnup, who died the 23rd of May 1803 aged 78 years.
Also Phebe, daughter of the said John and Elizabeth Burnup, who died the 1st of March 1804 aged 10? years. I have put a ? mark but it did look like a 10
Also John Burnup ????????? November 12th 1807
The bottom of the stone at ground level was in part unreadable.

Here lies the body of Elizabeth, daughter of Jno Burnup, departed January the 7th 1741 aged 20 years(could be 26)
Here lies the body of Charles Burnup who died 17?9
Once again the base of the Stone at ground level has damaged the stone.

Many thanks for the Burnip records of Wolsingham. The John Burnip died 23 May 1803  is not my direct line but is a 1st cousin to my Anthony Burnip/Burnip b 1697 Wolsingham.

John & Elizabeth (nee Gibson) referred in your records did have a daughter Phoebe bpt 18 may 1763 Wolsingham, so the 10 yr old Phoebe may be their ganddaughter, who died 1 March 1804 approx 10 yrs old.  Ive found other grandchildren buried with grandparents in my research.

Thomas who died 24 May 1792 was a suprise, I hadn't found his batpism, will now search for him.

Many thank
Maureen

Hello Madpants.
In memory of Rachael Anna Devey, who died 2/July/1934.
And of her beloved husband Joseph James Devey 1946.

A stone in poor condition. Covered by lichen, hence the lack of information.
