Hi Bren,at the momnent I dont have any thing for the parents of Florence Coveney who was born 1866 at Wellington and was married in 1888 at Christchurch to Frederick McAllum.I will certainly let you know  when I am able to get more details .Thanks Sylvia for Frederick and Florence McAllums burials.I did have Freds date of death and felt sure they would be together. This is a side of the family I am only starting to work on, thanks Keeweegal for your time spent on looking up those McCallum burials. My family is quite easy to find in N.Z as the surname is always McAllum,we are a part of the  Scottish Clan McCallum/Malcolm,so so my surname can often be confusing.Cheers.Gereon. :)

Hi Gereon
Have had a look through our few Martinborough resouces here at work and struck gold in only one book.
Is it possible for you to get hold of or interloan through your local library a book called

"Martinborough   this is the Story of a Town that grew slowly into a Self-Contained Community, A town that bears the name of it's founder"

There are several mentions of the McAllums and even photos, mostly as members of various clubs.

Hi Gereon
I don't think you will be able to buy it, it's a local publication and our copy is in the Reference section.
If you can't get hold of a copy, the PM me your address and I'll see if I can photocopy the relevant bits

Hello to all who are chatting about Martinborough,
I have just seen this tonight because I am looking for some information of people buried at the Old Cemetery Martinborough - namely Daysh and Harris. I found a posting from Adele but it was dated exactly 2 years ago so, even though I have just emailed her to see if she still has the photos, I am please to see how recent your postings are !!!
If there is an chance you have information on these people I would REALLY appreciate it - Edward Richard Harris and his wife Mary Ann Daysh and I know there are others, probably their children... can't just find them at present..
If you would like to have a look at my tree it is http://ngairedith.tribalpages.com  -  there are many, many people there from all over the Wairarapa and beyond. The tree is of Daniel Peck and his children who were early settlers in Taita.
I was born and bred in Masterton, daughter of Ngaire Peck, but now in West Australia.
Look forward to hearing from you
Regards
Ngairedith
