Hi Lynne,

I think that they are terraced with front doors straight onto the street. No front gardens.  I will try to take a photo soon.

You can see it on virtual Earth here:-
http://maps.live.com/?FORM=MICA01&rtp=~

Just put in the postcode in the box which says "Address, city, or postcode"

Then when you see the roadmap, click on Birds Eye, and you will see that they are terrace houses, very good view.
The marker is in the wrong place, so not sure which house it is.

Google Earth is good, too.  But if you do not want to download it, have a look at putting in the postcode on Google Maps:-
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps

Just put in the address and postcode and you can zoom in.  Aerial view is flat but better than MSN's aerial view.

I always look at addresses I find in these.
BENNET(T); NRY- Brotton, CON
BURTON; NRY- Saltburn, Guisborough, Marske, Stokesley
Judge Newark Lincoln BURTON , USA
DALES; NRY- Brotton, LIN - Orby

Hi i am at present researching my wife's side of the family and her mother hails from Penarth.
i am trying to find any information on Mary E Howells born about 1862 and married an Evan James born about 1853 Sully i believe the Howells owned shops in Penarth and were well to do.
among there children was Frank James born about 1898 and was a survivor of the SS Trevessa which sank in 1927 and became somewhat of a local hero if anyone can help i would be most grateful.
                          Thanks
