In Gibsons reply by Adam, there is a farm called Newbiggin East which is near Lanchester, so I would have thought he died on there

Hello Doric. Here is the Lanchester inscription:-

Here lies the body of John Ainsley, son of Rob Ainsley, who departed this life May/19/1769 aged 30? years. (the 30 could be 50) The 3 and the 5 look the same especially on a stone of that date.

Hi  Adam,

Again many thanks for your help and time, a few little 'gems' in there for me which have already enabled me to move a little further forward with my research on the Ainsley's.

I am sure I speak on behalf of us all when I say that your work is invaluable to those of us researching in the Lanchester and Willington areas and is very much appreciated.

Hello Alison. Here is the Sisson inscription:-

Sacred to the memory of George Watson Sisson, son of William Sisson of Manor house, who died January/20/1841 aged 8 years.

There are 9 Robinson gravestones so I will work on them later.

Hello Dolly. Here are the Storey inscriptions:-

In loving memory of Noble Storey, dearly beloved husband of Hannah Storey of Burnhopeside Hall Farm, who died June/13/1924 aged 66 years.
Also Newton and Tom, sons of the above, killed in France 1916--1918.
Also Hannah, beloved wife of the above, who died February/18/1946 aged 85 years.

This next one is an old stone with the surname on two lines. It looks rather naive the way the lettering has been done.

Nich Storey, March/14/1706.

In affectionate remembrance of Mary, beloved wife of George Thomas Storey, and daughter of George and Jane Ridley of Cornsay, who died 27/August/1882 aged 22 years. ( long verse and then)
Also Elizabeth Ann his wife, who died September/3/1905 aged 34 years.

Many many thanks Adam, I have been searching the name Sissons and not Sisson and have since found many connections.

Thanks ever so much and have a great weekend.
