Hi Adam

Thanks very much for your prompt reply. The Hunter name goes back quite far and thanks again but no thanks for the more recent inscription.
May I ask when burials started in Lanchester as some of the names are from the 18th century. As you may gather I am not local to the area.

Regards

Peter

Hello Peter. The earliest gravestones are from the early 18 century.
The church dates from the 12 century.
The baptism records from 1560 and the burial records from 1560
are held in the Durham Archives. (County archives)

Hello Adam,  This is Christine 37walker.  I think this reply might have been for me.   Can you tell me where I view these Brown's when you have posted them?  Do they appear on this roots page?   Sorry, but I am new to roots really.   Thanks
Best wishes
Christine
