Hi, if anyone is living in Bath could you please tell me if there is still a Bath Street? Probably a long shot as most towns have been redeveloped - many thanks :)

I don't live in Bath, but I Googled on google maps : bath street, bath - and there it is!
Census information is Crown Copyright from TNA.
Titchfield, Hampshire: Reed,  Fielder, Cawte, Goddard.
Kent:  Float,  Cutbush. 
Wallasey, Cheshire: Carroll, Ledsham.
Liverpool : Horsfall, Prescott

I've got a map!! - ohh how exciting!! Thanks Mum44 - I notice in your names you are researching is Fielder - nothing to do with a George Fielder 1920's Portsmouth?

George in Portsmouth 1920's  -  not so far - but I haven't followed all the marriages through much past 1915 - so still a possibility  :D

Mine all originated in Titchfield, Hants. You got any from there ?

No but Titchfield and Portsmouth not so far (I dont think he married my GGrandmother so you never know!!!)

yes there still is a bath st in bath. it starts from the roman baths to the new spa/kings baths

When I saide to my son - ohh look thats were our relatives used to live - he rolled his eyes and said "Oh here we go a day trip to Bath I suppose" bless him he does put up with me!!! ;D But what fun to be able to go back and see.

genuisscuffy - would you be interested in a modern photograph of Bath Street?  Obviously it won't look like it did when your ancestors lived there!

I will be going into Bath in the next few weeks so would be happy to take a snap  for you.  :)
