Hello Roger. Here they are:-

Sacred to the memory of Herbert Jackson. That is all that can be read on that stone because the rest is totally obliterated.

In loving memory of John Fawbert Jackson, who died 7/June/1933 aged 79 years.
Also of Mary Jane his beloved wife, who died 11/November/1943 aged 82 years.

In memory of Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Jackson of Fir Tree, who died January/18/1878 aged 27 years.
Also of Jane Ann, their daughter, who died April/7/1874 aged 3 years.

In loving memory of Richard jackson of Valley Terrace, who departed this life March/2/1897 aged 75 years
Also Hannah his wife, who departed this life November/13/1896 aged 69 years.
Also Joseph their son, who was drowned at Beechburn Beck May/11/1867 aged 8 years.

In memory of Thomas Hodgson Jackson, who died May/3/1861 aged 5 years.
Also William Jackson, father to the above, who died May/9/1861 aged 27 years.
Also Elizabeth Hodgson, mother in law of the above William Jackson, who died August/11/1865 aged 72 years.

In loving memory of George Jackson of Greenhead, who died January/21/1892 aged 80 years.
Also Maria, wife of the above, who died June/12/1868 aged 56 years.
Also Mary Jackson, daughter of the above, who died February/14/1915 aged 74 years.

Adam

Thanks for asking for the Jackson's Roger & Adam for posting them.  John Fawbert & Mary Jane are in my tree  :)

Adam do you have any idea of the location of the grave? I've been to WLW cemetery a few times but never spotted that one, maybe that means it's in the churchyard as i've never been round there yet.

Cheers
Jay

Hello Jay. I did not make a section map of the gravestones. On hindsight I should have done.
The gravestone is not in the churchyard (47 gravestones)
It is in the older part of the  cemetery (206 gravestones)
I did not go outside of the older part of the cemetery where all the recent burials are.
If you are going to visit then now would be the best time because later on they will all be overgrown.
It seems that the older part tends to get neglected.

Hi Adam,

Sorry to be a pain, but have you any Thomas Jolly in your list in the Witton Cemetery, I know of none in the churchyard.
