Hi Adam

Do you have any Holburns.  I know of at least one baptism in St Helens, Auckland, but just wondered if there are any gravestones.

Many thanks
Mo

Hello Gilbert. Here they are:-

In memory of Thomas Matthews, late of Heighington, who died on the 30th January 1864 aged 82 years.

Sacred to the memory of Jane Matthews, wife of Thomas Matthews of West Auckland and only daughter of George and Rachel Wade of the same place, who with christian fortitude and resignation departed this life May 6th 1822 aged 37 years.

Hi Adam

Hope you can help with these Robinsons.

I'm looking for John Robinson. I don't have a date of his death. This is what I have on him and his family.
John Robinson b. 1822 Hamsterley, Durham, his wife Jane b. about 1837 Newcastle, son John George b. 1862 in Helmington Row ( was in Canada 1916), Thomas b. 1870 in Rough Lea, Durham, William b. 1872 in Rough Lea, Ralph b. about 1878 in Crook.
Would be nice to know where they are buried.

Thank
Aley

Hello Aley. The Robinson name is very common amongst the records that I have. In fact there are hundreds.
I have looked at all the gravestone with the christian names that you supplied and none of the gravestones with the correct dates come anywhere near "datewise".
It looks like the Robinsons of your family do not have any gravestones left standing.

Thanks you Adam for looking.

I do know now that John Robinson died between 1881-1891. He is on the 1881 census and not the 1891. His wife is a widow at that time.

Aley, as the Robinson were living in the Crook area on the census you've be better off posting on Adam's Crook MI thread.

Have you searched freebmd for John's death?
