Samuel Hixon Wigley
« on: Saturday 03 May 08 20:13 BST (UK) »
Born 26 Nov 1860 in New Street, Nottingham.

Based on a birth certificate for Katie Wigley (08 Mar 1888), I believe he married Mary Jane Barclay but I cannot find a marriage to confirm this. Nor can I find the family on the 1891 census (I have them in 1901).

The 1901 census has Mary Jane born in Nottingham around 1861 but i cannot find any records to support this.

Parish records show a number of children born in the period 1886 - 1899 so it is reasonable to suppose that the family was in Nottingham around that time.

Any assistance in finding the marriage and/or the birth of Mary Jane would be much appreciated.

Hi Jaggy,

Do you have access to census? In 1891 they are at RG12/2692 43 13 (leave surname out!)
