I have not found George in 1901
however I have found a marriage

as far as I can find out george was a bit of a black sheep  
don't quite understand why, as his mother (my relative) died when he was only 6  

but of course this makes me more intrigued to find out about him and hope he had a happy life.........

it seems he moved way away from the family home and settled in cardiff

Black sheep are always very interesting...poor little soul had a bad start with his mum dead by the time he was six

Maybe you could trace his children's marriages through BMD indexes, long job, but well worthwhile sometimes. If they remained in Cardiff it might be quite easy, as the name is unusual for that area
